Infotel strengthens its presence in Nord-Pas-de-Calais with the acquisition of the company Empeiria
Bagnolet, 8 December 2011
Infotel announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of the entire share capital of the IT consulting and services company Empeiria, based in Villeneuve-d’Ascq (Nord). This new operation (following the acquisition of Insoft Software GmbH in June) represents Infotel‘s desire to accelerate its growth, strengthening its proximity and geographical network.
An operation in line with its growth strategy
Similar to its operations in the west (Odaxys) and south east (Addax), the acquisition of Empeiria is in keeping with Infotel‘s strategic roadmap. Already implemented regionally with Infotel Nord since 2011, Infotel, thanks to this new acquisition, has the means to accelerate its development in a dynamic region, at the crossroads with northern Europe.
Once the acquisition is finalised, Infotel will incorporate, from 2012, competences and a portfolio of national and regional customers, such as Auchan, Leroy-Merlin, Humanis, Vilogia, Supermarchés Match, Cofidis, etc.
Infotel looks to maintain all Empeiria resources and contracts and will make efforts to develop commercial synergies with Empeiria as quickly as possible.
An accretion operation
Established in July 2004 by Jean-Louis André and Didier Agaciak, Empeiria had, with 27 employees, a turnover of close to € 2 M in 2011 for an operating margin around 8%.
Specialising in Object technologies (Java, DotNet…) Empeiria complements Infotel both in terms of clientele and corporate culture and business areas. Empeiria performs 68% of its provision as in-house and 32% as service contracts or projects.
A self-funded operation
Infotel will fund the acquisition of Empeiria with its own funds and the company will be consolidated in the Group’s accounts in 2012.
Listed on Compartment C of Euronext Paris since January 1999 (ISIN code FR0000071797), Infotel is an expert in database management and web applications. At the cutting edge of technology innovation, Infotel develops its expertise in two complementary divisions: IT services and high-tech software publishing. As part of its "Ambitions 2012" plan, Infotel has set itself two major goals: perform almost all service provision from its service desks, and become a front-line player in dematerialisation. In 2010, Infotel had a turnover of € 107.6 M.
