Orlando data engines are ramping up
In June 2015, stress tests have been organized involving the 2 major distributed components of the Orlando architecture: the NoSQL database and the Search engine.
In parallel, a business load test was simulating the activity of 400 users, in order to assess the impact of the stress tests on the overall response time of the business test.
A few users were also using Orlando online during the automated load tests, in order to get a more “human feeling” of the system load in those conditions.
Results are positive, and confirm the capacity of the Big Data components used in Orlando. Next step will be the so-called “1000/1000” test: the simulation of the activity of 1000 users using a data repository of 1000 publications. We will keep you informed of the results.
