Services down, Software up
Infotel revenue declined 4.4% in Q4 2024 as economic trends adversely affected the general economic environment in the second-half 2024. For full-year 2024, revenue was down 4.2%, with the Services business contracting 4.9% and the Software business growing 15.6%.
In Q4 2024, the Services business failed to pursue the rebound achieved in the third quarter, owing to the overall economic environment, the slowdown at Airbus, and a reduction in investments at Stellantis.
Year on year, the Industry sector (26.3% of Services revenue) was down €8.7m, the Banking/Finance sector (39.2%) declined €4.6m and the Services/Transport sector (19.1%) dipped €1.6m.
Infotel stabilized its workforce with 387 gross new hires in 2024, bringing the total headcount to 3,083 employees at the end of December. The inter-contract rate remained extremely limited over the year, at 3.4%.
The Software business stood out with substantial growth of 31.1% in Q4 2024, for revenue of €13.3m for full-year 2024, up 15.6%.
IBM royalties contributed €6.1m in 2024, €1.6m of which in Q4 2024.
Orlando, a software suite for aircraft technical documentation, continued to post remarkable growth, generating revenue of €4.0m in 2024, up 43% from €2.8m in 2023. The portfolio now includes over 50 airlines and considerable growth potential remains.
Thanks to our strong activity rate and cost reduction measures, our profitability, which we will announce in March, should remain satisfactory.
Growth expected in 2025
After the decrease in investment in 2024, we are approaching 2025 with optimism. We expect business to stabilize in the first half of the year, with slight growth, and investment to recover in the second half of the year, with the resumption of projects put on hold for a year.
The major investment trends of our clients – with the rise of the cloud and artificial intelligence – are opening up new opportunities. Our investments in AI are starting to take concrete form with new contracts, while Infrastructure projects with our subsidiary Altanna will also develop over the course of the year.
Our international positioning (Great Britain, United States, Canada, India, Morocco, etc.) opens up new prospects and our excellent cash position (more than €120m) gives us the means to support our development.
