Confirmation of the gradual resumption of activity in Q4 2020

Revenue for the 4th quarter of 2020 at €62.4 million confirms the recovery trend initiated in the 3rd quarter, with a contained decline of -5.1%. Services totaled €60.4 million in revenue over the period, down -5.5%. Software grew by +9.6% to €2.0 million.

A 2020 activity above the objectives set

For the whole of 2020, revenue came to €235.2 million, down -5.3%, i.e. a level higher than the objectives anticipated last October1 and which forecast a drop of 7 at 8 %.

This gradual recovery confirms the resilience of Infotel’s model in the context of a major health crisis.

In Services, several sectors are strengthening their contribution to the activity’s revenue: Banking (41.0% compared to 36.1% in 2019), Retirement Insurance (14.2% compared to 12.5%) and Administrations ( 3.1% vs. 2.0%) while others are down: Industry (24.5% vs. 28.2%) and Services (17.1% vs. 21.2%).

The second half also marked a recovery in activity at Air France and PSA and a stabilization at Airbus. In the banking sector, recurring business remained buoyant with the signing of new contracts, in particular with Crédit Agricole, and the continuation of projects at Arkéa and BPCE.

The recruitment freeze linked to the lack of visibility and the use of partial activity resulted in a stabilization of the workforce at 2,371 people at the end of December. At that date, only a dozen people were kept in partial activity. The inter-contract rate remained low at 3.2% over the year.

Software activity is stable at €8.4m in 2020, including €4.5m in IBM royalties for the full year.

Despite the sharp slowdown in the aviation sector, several contracts were won for Orlando, the software solution developed for technical documentation and aircraft maintenance. Thus, Infotel has signed with major references in the sector such as the American Airlines group, Flyadeal (a subsidiary of Saudia) and the American company Spirit Airlines.

1 Press Release October 21, 2020

Confidence for 2021

In 2021, the Group intends to consolidate its commercial positions at Airbus, PSA, Air France and even within the EPO (European Patent Office).

In addition, the acceleration of commercial development initiated at the end of 2019 is starting to bear fruit with new listings in Banking and Industry and the signing of new contracts, in particular with AG2R. In addition, the gradual reopening of air flights should help to intensify commercial development for Orlando.

On the strength of these favorable elements and a reaffirmed relationship of trust with its major customers, Infotel anticipates a resumption of growth in 2021.
